"The SNO Research Committee exists to provide sound, evidence-based answers to the inevitable questions we will get asked when people learn we are studying nutrition: "So, is it true that kale really isn't that healthy?" "Should I be eating coconut oil everyday?" "Which fat is the bad fat?" Without being well-informed on the latest scientific research, we will have no basis for confidently answering why people shouldn't listen to Dr. Oz. Or should they? Come join us to dive into the latest nutrition controversies and see what the underlying research really has to say on the matter. Two weeks before each meeting, members will suggest and choose a topic, and a journal article will be chosen to represent that area of research/controversy. The article will be emailed to all members and discussed roundtable-style at our meetings. We will also have guest speakers to share their thoughts and approaches to nutrition research, so come with plenty of questions!"
